ABOUT

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Potsdam with a number of interests related to—and not related to—rocks. Rock related interests include, but are not limited to:

  • Tectonics

  • Thermochronology

  • Sedimentonology

  • Fold-thrust belts

  • Climate-tectonic interactions

  • Evolution of Cratons

  • Himalayas

  • Central India Geology

  • Earth Surface Processes

  • Geochronology

  • Structural Geology

  • Foreland Basins

  • Deep-time carbon cycle

  • India-Asia Collision

  • European Alps

  • Southeast Asia tectonics

  • Proton Irradiation of geological material

My research is motivated by an ultimate goal to advance our knowledge on the mechanisms that control crustal exhumation and erosion at local and global scales, and to reciprocally bring insight into how spatial-temporal patterns in crustal exhumation might be linked to major perturbations in Earth's dynamic system.

Unrelated to rocks, I also enjoy good music, good food, good drink, good hikes, good company, and all the other good stuff. Feel free to contact me if anything on this site sparks an interest.
